We were so honored to get a visit from Barbara Naden (formerly Barbara Schild), who along with her husband at the time, Russ, built Noble Hill Vineyard. Harvest is Underway at Griffin Hill
Harvest has begun! The grape flavors peaked in the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at basically the same time, so we had a very large pick day yesterday. We used a professional crew, as there was so much to pick in one day and the vines were pretty well laden with fruit. And what great fruit it is. New Cabernet Block Hits Its Stride
Those sweet little Cabernet vines we started 4 years ago have really hit their stride this year. Their crop last year netted us just enough to fill two barrels. This year, it looks like four barrels. Not bad! The fruit tastes wonderful and complex. I'm looking forward to reporting on the quality of the wine we get out of this block!
