Budbreak 2026
The weather has been in the high 70's to low 80's and the vines are really starting to take off. Good thing we were able to get the pruning done last week, as pruning gets pretty dicey when delicate buds are present. As usual, pruning was postponed to the last minute to ensure there were no rain events that could cause a disease issue in the pruning wounds. The photo is a Merlot vine in the west end of the vineyard.
