After seeing some offal on the kitchen counter where we were ripening some homegrown pears, I threw away the pear that had been infected with a codling moth. However, I was truly surprised when I later noticed a nearby wine cork that had become infected. I cut it open to find that a codling moth had infected the cork and was now calling it home.

Who knew!!?
